We knew from the initial email contact we had with Hitched in Italy that we liked how informed Lisa seemed and she was able to answer some of our initial queries (Having married out in Italy themselves Lisa and Andy know the Italian legal obligations and will ensure these are all arranged for you). We travelled to Bagni di Lucca in July 2018 and met Lisa in person and from that moment on, we knew there was no-one else we would want to work with in choosing our venue and planning our wedding. Lisa took us to see our venue and we fell completely in love with the place. It was clear to see what a wonderful relationship Lisa had with the owners of the villa which made us feel very comfortable about booking it for our special day as we were confident that there would be no issues with breakdown of communications.
We were fairly laid back about our wedding and from following ‘Hitched in Italy’ on Instagram and Facebook we knew that whatever Lisa chose would be beautiful, we trusted her judgement 100%, so we just gave her a rough idea of the sort of thing we liked, and she completely nailed it for us, I would highly recommend doing this if you don’t want to get all bridezilla! Lisa and Andy made the whole planning experience stress free – the only thing we had to worry about was getting our outfits safely over from the UK
Lisa chose our florist, DJ, hairdresser and makeup artist – all were fantastic, she also put us in touch with the most amazing photographer! These guys have all the contacts you will ever need for the most beautiful wedding in Tuscany. Their years of living in the Lucca region (for part of the year) means that if you need any ideas for daytrips whilst there, help with transport from the airport to your accommodation etc they can help with it all. We had totally forgotten to book our airport transport until the week we were flying out (see, we were too relaxed about it!) but we contacted Andy (who runs the concierge side of the business) arranged a minibus for us within a few hours and the price was amazing compared to hiring a car or getting a taxi at the airport this is significantly cheaper so I would highly recommend checking with Andy before booking your transport.
We loved every minute of our wedding day and every minute of using Hitched in Italy
