“Instrumental in helping find our reception venue and making possible our Catholic church wedding. They guided us through all necessary steps and paperwork. During the wedding/reception Lisa and Isabella choreographed everything to run smoothly and overcame any bumps that may have arisen.
We wanted a wedding abroad with our own style and sense of romance in every detail, but found it impossible to organize on our own with so little knowledge of the area and language. We booked Hitched in Italy to help us with the planning, organization and access to suppliers. We got so much more than we ever dreamed.
As we approached our dream of having an Italian wedding in Bagni di Lucca, it quickly became apparent that we would need a helping hand. Lisa and her partner Isabella were exactly the help we needed. Not only were we planning to have the ceremony in the remote village of Monti di Villa, in the hills above Bagni di Lucca, we were also planning a Catholic Ceremony which required even more organizing and paperwork. Lisa and Isabella were able to fluently coordinate with the locals, the priest, and the civil and church officials to make the seemingly impossible, possible.
It indeed was quite a feat. Being both a civil and religious ceremony required official documentation that would have been certainly impossible without Isabella communicating with the Commune, the Archdiosees, and even the embassy. Lisa and Isabella went well out of their way help us with these details, even purchasing the proper tax stamps and setting up appointments with the various officials we needed to meet.
As for the celebration, Hitched in Italy had a good relationship with the local merchants. Their pastry shop recommendation was spot on. I will never forget the in depth conversation that was had with the cake maker about the “art of Chantilly cream”, and all the finer details of decorating the cake. This man had an impressive passion for his craft, and sure enough, it was the most beautiful and delicious cake we have ever tasted! We would have never founded this bakery without Hitched in Italy.
Similarly, Lisa and Isabella helped organize a grand feast at a tiny mountain-side restaurant called Birrabisso, in the village of Graniola. They were right in recommending this place as the food was impeccably presented and so delicious. Our meal was course after course of the best Tuscany has to offer. Fresh Antipasti, a variety of delicious local cheeses, two incredible pasta courses, two meat courses and generous amounts of delicious local wine. The owner and staff were so warm and friendly the night was a true celebration. Lisa and Isabella were helpful until the end in facilitating the meal, transport to and from, and the details of decoration and music.
Lisa and Isabella, with their attentiveness, hard work, and especially kindness, were more than just “wedding planners” but instead friends whom we relied on to accomplish this grand celebration. Their work meant a lot to us and Lisa and Isabella will forever be part of our joyful memory of this Tuscan wedding “Adventure”!”
