“Organising a wedding abroad is an intrepid decision; the feeling of total reliance on somebody else to deliver your perfect day. With Hitched in Italy all you need to have is faith. Bagni di Lucca, the Circolo and Lisa delivered every single promise that was made. Lisa delivered a personalised service which catered for everything we asked for and encouraged much more with a secure local Italian knowledge. We had everything we could have asked for in an English wedding with all the finer points of rustic Italy. This made for a magical wedding week.
In the lead up to the wedding Lisa guided us through the possibilities of a wedding in Tuscany. The personal touch and excitement Lisa showed throughout the process left us in no doubt that the wedding would be everything we wanted – from making the favours (small bottles of Limoncello) to organising the harpist. The greatest fear for us was getting the paperwork correct and in completed in good time, for anybody else who has the same concerns, all we can say is that with Lisa you are in very safe and practised hands.
Once in Italy everything was perfect, Bagni di Lucca is idyllic, the Circolo is a perfect setting and the staff were amazing. Before the wedding we had the menus checked and sorted, flowers organised, hair appointments booked and Lisa and her family organised a catered party. This was above and beyond what we had originally asked for, but was a fantastic way for all of our guests to meet before the ‘big day’ and the food was outstanding.
On our actual Wedding Day we could not have asked for anything more. Lisa played an integral part to the smooth running of the day from the moment the first guests arrived to the end of the night. We cannot praise Lisa and ‘Hitched in Italy’ enough – Rosie at the Circolo was brilliant, the hairdresser was superb, the florist produced the most beautiful bouquets and button holes and the harpist and pianist were outstanding. We can highly recommend the food and drink at the Circolo; we had an amazing 6 courses from champagne rice to the Wedding Flan served with prosecco (a definite must if you fancy a Wedding cake with an Italian twist!). Finally, the stunning scenery of Bagni di Lucca offers unique opportunities for photographs – you will be safe in the knowledge that no-one else will ever have wedding photographs like yours!
From day one of choosing ‘Hitched in Italy’ to organise our wedding, Lisa has dealt with our wedding as if it was her own. For us, our Wedding Day was above and beyond our expectations. It was so much better than we had every imagined that it could be. We had almost seventy guests in total and everyone commented on not just what a fantastic day they had, but a fantastic stay in the beautiful town of Bagni di Lucca.
