We jumped through all the covid hoops. We didn't leave the house for 5 days and now we're free it feels fabulous.
We swam in the river yesterday and we're heading to the pool today.
We've well and truly put the burglary behind us. Time to crack on with our holiday.

Last day of quarantine.
My lovely friend @pelmercer from @rebelrebelitalia popped over yesterday to deliver 'a little bit of happiness' This beautiful bouquet and a bottle of prosecco made me very happy INDEED. 💐🍾

Tomorrow we're free! We need to do a covid test to release in the local pharmacy, then I need to go to the police station to make my statement, then we're going to have gelato in fornoli, pick up my hire car and straight to the river for an afternoon of swimming. CAN'T WAIT.

Let the holiday shenanigans commence ☀️

Good morning from Granaiola.
So here's the Instagram v reality.

Getting here was a breeze. Quarantine for 5 days, not a problem.
Arriving at the house to find we've been burgled. Heartbreaking.
Every room, every drawer, every cupboard turned over. Doors wide open. Kids frightened. On the first night none of us slept. I started the clean up operation at 4am. I still have a lot to do.
Oh and my hob broke and how the bloody hell do you cook pasta without a hob? I'm going to have to get creative in the kitchen.
But we're safe, well and happy.

Thanks for the millions of messages, they mean the world to me.
